Process, Practice and Issues of Visual Communication

To explore our knowledge of visual communication, we were asked to design a series of maps that visually represented our understanding surrounding our personal process, practice and issues as a designer.

The project focuses on communicating not only the depth of understanding but the way in which it is constantly shaped and moulded by new knowledge and experiences in the design field. Using the metaphor of a mountain, the process map depicts the design process from brief to final artwork and is represented as an abstract form that is moulded and shaped by stages of research and development, to form a final, concise and distilled outcome.
