I am an atheist so am endlessly intrigued by the incredible effort mankind has put into building sacred places over the millennia. I might believe that there are no gods but I'm glad my ancestors disagreed with me, or we wouldn't have the endless variety of scared places dedicated to a huge pantheon of gods to enjoy.
