The Toilet Roll Collector
This comic strip is the second one created for the Visual Narrative brief. I had a lot of fun with this storyline, which included a very funny photoshoot with my fiancée for reference images, and an experiment with linocut which, unfortunately, did not work out very well and does not feature in the final comic.
However, I also learned a lot from this project. For instance, I realised I am prone to leaving parts of an illustration unfinished before moving on to the next, as well as forgetting to change the dpi on Procreate, leading to poor image quality. Since this brief I have learned to slow things down, so I can concentrate on the detail of each illustration, and I have of course changed my settings on Procreate in order to maintain high image quality.
