The design concept behind this type specimen book is the National Park Service. The National Park Service uses the Frutiger Next Pro typeface on their logo and signs in National Parks around the country. This book specifically features National Parks located throughout Alaska. Chapter introductions are pictures from Denali, Katmai Crater, Kenai Fjords, and Gates of the Artic with vector illustrations of snow on top. Throughout the book there are vector illustrations of Alaska's most common wildlife that can be seen throughout the parks. The book layout is based on brochures from National Park Service stations and colors are limited to a natural fall/winter color palette.
