These are the illustrations based on a novel by Italo Calvino. The project mainly focused on illustration and play of words. It was truly a difficult yet challenging task as I had to set aside finished illustrations and re-do the task. As the objective of the project is to be able to communicate the message through images, it requires deep ability of text understanding. After days of lazing off and going nowhere, I came across an illustrator that plays around with words. I bet you guys have come across her works once in your life if you're into tumblr; her works are mainly known under the name ilovedoodle. Inspired by her great works, I started to mix up between the verbs and nouns and come up with these eight illustrations.
