I got the idea for this project while on a trip across UAE. At the time, I was taking a lot of photos of Dubai's great architecture, and most of it felt overwhelming and cold. then I stumbled upon the miracle garden which has a lot of domes full of umbrellas, there I took a nap under the umbrellas and I think I dreamt of some accident of umbrellas escaping through the Dubai sky …after this daydream..I kept thinking when i looked to the Dubai sky searching for an umbrella ..a breath of color in the sky between the buildings, however, my trip ended with me having a lot of pics and a dream ..so why not my dream come true?
This led to a constant struggle with how and what to mix - the converging lines of the buildings and the grey blocks of concrete against a bright umbrella as a butterfly in the sky ..this contrast made it hard to arrive at anything visually pleasing, and I kept thinking I should just isolate the interesting parts to make them float in mid-air and show the umbrella as the main dish of this scene ..not the building

Back home, I did a few tests and was pleased with the results. so I narrowed them down to these photos and started isolating the interesting parts. Cutting out part of a large building requires reconstructing the missing third dimension - most of all the underside, if you aim your camera up. and thus I created a scene to imitate the dream state this project was created on
