This shot was taken at my local loch and I chose the location due to the low morning sun facing a whale sculpture and numerous birds resting there.
I set the shot up using a tele lens with a low aperture to bring out the subject from the background. I use a fast shutter speed to capture motion as I felt it made a more interesting image.
