Description of the bracket:
This bracket is made to relocate the license plate on my car so it is visible while driving with my bike rack. The bracket is able to rotate along a pivot point to allow the license plate to be visible when in the up and down position. In order to keep everything legal there are solar powered lights on the top of the bracket to allow for visibility of the license plate during the night. The bracket is made out of metal, allowing for a sturdy and reliable construction. The center hole on the base of the bracket functions as a drainage hole for water to keep rain from pilling on top of the bracket.
User testing:
My user testing gave me great feedback and knowledge on what worked well and what needed improvements. I had my testers install the bracket on my bike rack and gave them questions to see what they thought of it. Overall, everyone said the bracket is easy to operate and fairly intuitive to put onto the bike rack. one of the pointers given to me was that my drainage hole in the center needs to be smaller so the bolts for the bracket do not fit. The visibility of the license plate on the bike rack was the strong suit of my user testing. All of my testers agreed that during the day and night the license plate was very easy to read even from a distance. From my user testing I was also able to gather that in order to install this bracket on the bike rack you would need no previous experience and would only need basic tools, like a wrench and a screwdriver.
