Fantasy Roombox Lamp

Fantasy Roombox Lamp

My concept for the final project is to create a miniature roombox that will act as decoration but will also serve as a light source if necessary or desired. I plan for this particular roombox to have a cozy fantasy aesthetic and for it to fit on any desk. People looking to add decoration to their room need a miniature roombox because it is a unique form of decoration that can add character to any room and will also be a conversation starter. In addition to that, it can also serve as a light source. This will expand on existing technology because, in addition to being a decorative item that not many other people have, it will also add character and intricacy to your basic lamp.

My user testing process was a combination of letting people figure out how it works and a 5-question survey to discover people's opinions of the roombox. The questions I asked my users were:
1. If you saw this prototype and were given no instruction on how to turn the lights on, what would be your thought process in figuring out how to do so, and how would you do it?
2. What is your opinion on the fantasy aesthetic of this roombox?
3. On a scale of 1 to 10, how likely would you be to display this roombox on your desk or elsewhere?
4. What is the reasoning for your previous answer?
5. Please provide any extra feedback you have about this project.
The answers I got for the first question were "I would probably look for a switch and if that didn't work/if I couldn't find one I would look at the cords on the back," "I would try to find some sort of button or switch to turn on the lights," "I would turn it around and look at all sides. I would also probably see where the wire is plugged in and try the buttons/switch to see if it would turn on," and "I would want to mess with the wire first and see where it starts and ends. Next I’d look for buttons or switches on the computer source itself. If not then I’d see if it was on the other end of the wire connected to the box somewhere.".
The answers I got for the second question were "I love it! I think it's very cute and somewhere between fairycore, cottagecore, and light academia," "I like it a lot it looks very cozy," "Druid-wizard vibes," and "I think it is so cute! Very cozy and right up my alley!".
The values I got for the third question were 8, 9, 8, and 7.
The answers I got for the fourth question were "I love cottage and fairycore. My fiancé and I have an alternative themed apartment and our balcony is cottage/plant core," "I really like miniatures," "I wish it was smaller so I could put it in between my books on my bookshelf," and "I’m a book lover and love the homey vibe of it along with the plants. Novelty things like that always gets me as well!".
The answers I got for the fifth question were "I think it's super cute and definitely love it," "I enjoy the use of leaves around the box it has a nice effect," "It's really cute," and "Perhaps more wall decor would be cute."
