Two old hymnbooks, they have become like sere herbage: Not at all fresh and full of withered words. And yet, they still contain some effective essences. One might need to brew a tea from those books to get a taste of the joy, gratitude and devotion that once was alive in the hymns.
I have tried something similar and picked out a few letters and words . I have sewn and crocheted these extracts between teabags and turned them into a new hymn book. It is humming softly when you turn the pages.
