The I_AM Project: “Inclusive education using Animation and Multimedia” is a co-funded project by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, which aims to support inclusive education of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) through an innovative person-centred, inter-disciplinary and art-based approach, implemented in Greece, Cyprus, Hungary, and Poland. The short animation films help to familiarize children and young people about the topics above and trigger their interest.
"All Aboard", created with the help of the Hungarian organization Kézenfogva Alapítvány, presents a shy but friendly mouse traveling to Syros island in Greece to play music with a band. The mouse has a disability, which is not visible to other passengers.
At first, some members are hostile to others, but as the journey progresses through various obstacles that they must overcome, they all become tied up and become friends.

This project begun with an online animation workshop during the lockdown, with participants from Hungary, specialists and persons with disabilities. After a 3 hour session learning about animation and creating a script that expressed their concerns and ideas, the participants provided a series of sketches to help me better understand their vission.
And then I started designing!
