beetme is a cloud service where you can challenge your friends, colleagues or other people you know on virtually any kind of contest.
Examples of what you can do:
- You and your friends can bet on private, national or international tournament results
- Start an exercise contest like a step or running contest where you and your fellow colleagues compete
- Setup a quizz or a sweepstake
- Challenge your friends on a photo or video contest where the one with the most likes or best ranking wins.

beetme talks with facebook to make it more fun to participate. You can see how your friends arte doing in their contests. When contests are closed winners are appointed and glorified, as you can see below.
I have participated in all parts of the project: I came up with the idea on a bright aprils day 2013, I decided what architecture to use and then coded all parts of the system. My friends helped, and are still helping me, to test the system. They even placed some real bets in the beetme-contest covering the FIFA 2014 World Cup in Brasil!
Technical environment: ASP.NET/MVC, C# 4.0, jQuery mobile, responsive design, Javascript, Ajax, Facebook API, REST, WebAPI, MySQL, Amazon Web Services.
