Exhibit design (with Tania Allen) for 4-H and NC State, exploring the historical and ongoing relationship between the two organizations.
The Special Collections gallery in D.H. Hill Library at State is divided into a series of glass cases; we organized the exhibition's content to illuminate the people, programs and history of 4-H as they relate to the four central organizational themes identified in the 4-H motto.
4-H is the largest youth organization in North Carolina with more than 20,000 youth and adult volunteers and almost a quarter-million participants. Its familiar emblem — the green four-leaf clover — represents the 4-H focus on better living through the cornerstone ideas of “Head, Heart, Hands and Health.”
