Trilogy
Design of enfant chair, via structure design, creates a rocking chair for fun, a comfort dining
chair for enjoying meal, and also a leaning chair for rest, paying attention to different requests
during growing period.
Detail design
A rattan knot was made in middle position of the handle after researching the draft. The
flexibility of fully used, so that the function is not the only attraction, detailed research could
make the flavor fully exist, unified with the whole style. Detail in design sometimes could
represent the quality of a work, also a very important part.
Material
Rattan is non wood material. They are flexible, naturally colored clean, environmental friendly
and economical. Wood is a kind of material with polished character, beautiful texture, pleased
color and appetency. Good wood takes a long time to grow and it is becoming rare gradually
with the consumption of natural resources. So the material saving during design and conceiving
should be considered, by trying to use small material to make frame and binding, reducing
consumption of huge material to ensure the sustainable development of wood resource.
The character and appearance of these two kinds of material are inosculate with geniality,
freshness, natural manner that I need in designing.
