Transient characters
Creating portraits for a group of secondary theatrical characters.
Transient characters project was created out of my fascination with dramatic theatrical characters. I spent a considerable amount of time reading various plays and studying the characters that intrigued me a lot. I specifically focused on Transient characters because they often have many details that can be transformed into artistic strokes and colors.
By designing the characters, I aimed to capture the essence of these characters and convey it smoothly to the recipients. I paid attention to their transformations and contradictions, as these aspects are important for integrated characters.
Overall, the illustrations project allowed me to explore the world of dramatic theatrical characters in a unique and creative way. It was a challenging but rewarding experience that allowed me to express my love for theater through art.
Lucas - plays the aristocrat. He may have a refined exterior, but there is a deep-seated insecurity within him that he tries to hide with his haughty demeanor.
Liepa - plays the singer. She has a powerful and captivating voice, but offstage she is incredibly shy and often struggles with stage fright.
Mirac - plays the prince. He is used to getting what he wants, but when faced with the consequences of his actions, he begins to question his own entitlement and learns to empathize with those he once looked down upon.
Matilde - plays the governess. She is strict and disciplined with her charges, but secretly longs for the freedom to pursue her own dreams and desires.
Artyom - plays the guard, He is dedicated to his duty of protecting the castle and its inhabitants, but his loyalty is tested when he is forced to choose between his duty and his conscience.
Noah - plays the astrologer. He is knowledgeable and mystical, but his predictions are often clouded by his own personal biases and beliefs.
Mihai - plays the magician with a mesmerizing stage presence and enigmatic persona, but harbors doubts about her true identity and the cost of her powers.
Finn - plays the joker. He is skilled in the art of illusion, but his own life is shrouded in mystery and secrets.
Dofi - plays the dreamer with a romantic and idealistic worldview, but struggles with the harsh realities of life and the fear of disappointment.
Lian - plays the seductress with a bold and sultry stage presence, but secretly yearns for true love and intimacy.
