Sustainable and ecologically minded furniture design studio WORKROOM needed to develop their online presence as well as their printed catalogue. We've also recently worked on brand development & the online presence for their city boutique, DOUGLAS + BEC. Choosing to shoot the working studio as well as the finished products allowed us to express the one-off, personal, hand made nature of Rebecca & Doug's work. In addition, sourcing various re-used and found papers which have been used as a backdrop to the website and as additional decorative pages within their printed catalogue also subtly hints at the reclaimed and recycled nature of many of the materials they use. The site has allowed them to showcase their work and reach a wider audience – since launch they have been featured on renowned design/interiors blog Design*Sponge, showcasing their work internationally & driving a huge amount of traffic to the site. Understanding our concept was the key thing that we were looking for when we were developing our brand and website. Hardhat have exceeded my expectations in this domain and we have enjoyed the continuing process thoroughly. With the present market being more intangible in nature we needed to have the capabilities to be flexible and evolve. This is exactly what our relationship with hardhat allows - an alignment and a relationship. " – Rebecca Snelling, Workroom Read Less
