Crayola: Sushi Edition (Package)

My concept for this project was to take my love for the Japanese culture and mix it in with Crayola. The target audience is for fans of the Japanese culture, sushi consumers, and of course for those who collect the oddest things.
The front view of the main package. The logo, as well as the "cheesy" design layout, comes from the influences of Asian food products you see in Asian markets. The design of the box is a parody and a nod to the "bento boxes" (a lunch box commonly used in Japan). It can hold up to 18 crayons.
An angled view of the box.
The back of the box. The design layout of the back of the box is supposed to be a play off of a Sushi restaurant menu. The three coloured circles in the top right of each Sushi are the colours of the crayons that are grouped together.

A back angled view of the other side of the box.
The front view with the lid opened.
The actual inside of the box. Starting with the maroon tab, the phrase in gold says "Itadakimasu" which means "Let's eat!" or "Dig in!". The inner background design are simplistic versions of fish scales which is a popular Japanese pattern found on paper fans, kimonos, lanterns, etc. The green mush on the left and the pink shiny thing on the right are pictures of Sushi condiments that adds to the whole piece of being a "bento box" (the left being Wasabi, the right being Ginger). Lastly, the dividers are to separate the different "Sushi".
The front view with the crayons. Each Sushi crayon combination is grouped in three and has the name of the Sushi on it.
The second box (or the expansion pack) of the Crayola: Sushi Edition. The shape of the box is supposed to represent the shape of an onigiri (riceball) pictured on the front. Supposed to hold 5 crayons.
Back view of the box. The design layout is supposed to match the design layout of the main package.
Detailed shot of the clever use of the barcode. Japanese texts along with rough English translations are found on both packages to add to the foreign and comedic aspect.

Detailed shot of the crayons and what they look like without being wrapped in groups of three. The name of the crayon is both in Japanese and in English.
