The Case:
Video chatting is the new dating experience. With Look@Me, you can socialize wherever and whenever you want without having to leave your comfort zone. Look@Me is a modern video chat application that allows you to meet your matched person and have a fun time doing it. The app differentiates from other dating apps with its gamification aspect where matched couples can send each other virtual gifts of sorts and turn them into real-life presents that can be bought from in-app store.
While designing the brand identity our main challenge was to create a universal visual language that targets GEN-Z users across the globe and to make the visual language relatable, attractive and fun. In order to do so, we have designed an app mascot that accompanies the app users throughout the different stages of the app and adds humor with its different moods and styles.
We designed a full set of animated in-app gifts that play the role of virtual tokens which the couples can exchange during their video chat experience. We have curated a UX/UI app design that carries the brand experience into every stage of the app pages with the use of colorful icons, animated objects and humorous creative writing.
