‘like their own work, the beauty is in the detail’

Matthew Fairweather is a brand led design consultancy focussed on customer experience.

PW was approached to interpret and realise an ambition to upgrade their Bristol studio. Core within the project brief was the desire to have an inspiring workspace that reflected growing success and represented who they are as a creative agency to staff and clients alike.

Contained within an archetypal industrial unit conversion, the resulting design solution, though both modern and contemporary, integrates within the shell of the building, exploiting the linear form and accentuating the vertical height within the space. This juxtaposition ensures the bold brand character is successfully articulated in three dimensions, whilst the timeless fabric of the original environment remains intact.

The new office is divided by a variety of functional areas offering collaborative working, breakout, private office and meeting space. Form and function run in parallel throughout, with services and utilities discretely hidden behind tactile multi-layered walls. Pragmatic yet well-thought-out spaces are interjected with quirky design details, which reveal themselves at every turn. This attention to detail facilitates a clean, considered scheme, perfectly reflecting the ethos and approach that our client adopts in their own work.

The final result is an imaginative and playful workspace inspired by a restrained, but nonetheless impactful brand personality.
