I had the opportunity to illustrate a Master Scene for the children’s story Rumpelstiltskin.

The Master Scene
A room in a palace is full of heaps of straw everywhere. (The walls are possibly made of stone.) The door
of the room is closed.
A tiny, ugly, goblin-like man (mid-40s) is sitting at a spinning wheel.
The straw on the spinning wheel is glittering, as it’s gold. But the rest of the straw in the room is regular
straw.
A girl (16–18 years old) is wearing a ring, but not a necklace. She is standing, watching him in
amazement and awe.
