Young Architects Competition / Data Landscape 2023
An old building designed to be hidden from view on a hill. Due to its mission, it has been abandoned to the ground under the soil with its rough walls, following the function, not the view. Mysterious and contradictory...

The processing and protection of digital data or all data that can be digitized. Almost everything... On the other hand, endless nature. It is a digital art cellar, an urban house, a guiding digital lighthouse where these large systematic and data "stacks" will be discovered, questioning the relationship between nature and digital, giving messages. The dialectic of mystery and discovery is quite powerful and instructive... Surprising and questioning is their content.

The "Digital Lighthouse" forms a prismatic cloud over the existing structure without touching it and repeating it. It leads to the summit with an uninterrupted ramp. While observing the digital artifacts along the way, the artist observes nature on the other side. Upon approaching the site, irregular blocks learned from the surrounding rocks are positioned for lighting and technical services. The sounds of machinery seeping into the silence arouse curiosity about the underground. When followed, there are three passageways leading into the earth. These passageways draw the visitor into the world beneath the earth. The welcoming space is the new cave composition.

Underground, light, landscape and a new underground. It joins and connects the safe and
mysterious structure of the existing structures. The light chimneys in the floor renew the wall, the glass floor questions the floor and stratification, while the workspace offers a great view. It rejects the concept of boundaries in order to adapt to the present and the importance of transparency. It uses the walls of the existing building as if it were newly built and adapts them with a new spirit.
