The Case:
Monofy is a neobank organization providing flexible financial services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across UK and Europe. The brand is built on a mission is to simplify financial operations for customers by leveraging modern technologies and offering efficient & cost-effective solutions. Monofy came to us with a request to build their brand identity from scratch. We have designed branding alongside physical goods such as credit cards and card-holders.

In the world of neobanking where there’s less human touch and more technological infrastructure, it’s easy to scare off the customers by looking too modern or unapproachable. In our design process, our main challenge was to differentiate from existing neobanking brands and to convey a sense of minimalism and softness in the brand’s voice of tone.

Imagining the OOH presence of the brand, we have come up with creative brand taglines taking inspiration from the name of the firm which has the latin-rooted word ‘mono’ derived from single-source money operation systems. The color combinations and overall visual presence of the branding is soothing and looks accessible. The logomark ‘m’ is illustrated to symbolize financial accumulation and power through digital banking with ascending blocks placed as the foundation of the letter ‘m’. Taking inspiration from the logomark system, custom illustrations and typography was designed to provide a full-sensory experience through printed elements such as card-holder designs which are the first and foremost physical asset that customers get to experience while acquiring a physical credit card.
