WAREHOUSE ROBOT FOR E-COMMERCE FULFILLMENT

A 50 kg payload autonomous fulfillment robot for warehouses. The robot can function both indoors and outdoors thanks to IP-45 ingression protection.
Our Role in the Project:
Technical concept development
Industrial design
Kinematic computer simulations
CAD development
DFM
Custom IC design
Full documentation development
Custom jig design
Prototype manufacturing
Project Development

1. Refined the concept and ran the robot carriage/suspension simulations to ensure its stability and effectiveness in a variety of situations.

2. Ran kinematic simulations and developed use-cases. Added a fashionable touch to the robot.

3. Optimized BOM and components procurement for the development of electronics.

3. Finalized the CAD prototype.

4. Designed and manufactured a mold for vacuum forming.

5. Carried out the prototype tests. Finished up DFM. Updated the CAD models. Produced the documentation for a batch production.
INSIGHT: To make sure the cargo mass is distributed evenly across the driving wheels, it is important to incorporate kinematic and motion simulations as early as possible at the concept stage.
