Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) is a powerful tool for understanding and managing ecosystem health and resilience. It is calculated using satellite imagery and measures the difference between the reflectance of near-infrared (NIR) and red light wavelengths. Healthy vegetation  reflects more NIR and absorbs more red light, while bare soil or non vegetated areas have lower NDVI values.
NDVI Mapping is important for assessing vegetation growth, identifying areas prone to drought or degradation, monitoring deforestation, and supporting ecological and agricultural studies.
