Cirque du Soleil’s International Headquarters

“My dream has always been to attract the best talent the world has to offer to the circus, and that dream lives on. I want the studio to continue to be a home for creators around the world. Each of them is indispensable for our work and deserves all the recognition in the world. »
Guy Laliberté, founder of Cirque du Soleil.

Cirque du Soleil’s International Headquarters stands proudly in the Montreal borough of Saint-Michel, on the site of the former Miron sandpit and the Montreal Waste Treatment and Disposal Centre. Its 1997 construction was part of a larger Saint-Michel initiative: an urban development program where Cirque du Soleil embodies the cultural center of the borough’s Environmental Complex. The landscape surrounding the building is also put to use in creative ways. In keeping with Cirque du Soleil’s creative philosophy, the property has been turned into a vibrant food garden the shifts and adapts with the seasons. Beautiful shrubs, apple trees, and rose bushes grow from the soil, as our International Headquarters gardeners tend to the space they have created. The vegetables and herbs grown here are used to prepare employee meals, with surplus garden food shared among them."  Cirque du Soleil

"The eight-storey part is a design by the architectural firm FABG while the interior is by the firm Exa Design. The first part of the headquarters was the work of Dan S. Hanganu. The total construction cost was $70 million." Information

When I go for a walk at Cirque du Soleil's international headquarters sometimes it's the tall grass that catches my eye, the leaves of a tree, but it's mainly this magnificent building and the flowers that I photograph. Last year, I even took pictures of corn in bloom.

In this project, I show you this beautiful building starting with the secondary entrance located on rue Jarry, going towards the main entrance located on avenue le Cirque.
From the beginning to the end of the project, “Eight Spoked Asterisk” indicate the different places where I took my photos.
