Brief

The brief was to develop an intervention, activity or event for one of three spaces; park road, the futurist or the irish centre. This could be anything from a pop-up lecture theatre, a series of walks, a street party, to a remaking of street and shop signage. We were to Develop a name for the proposed project, a graphic identity (logo, typography, environmental graphics, wayfinding, signage) and devise a pitch to the relevant stakeholders: funding bodies, council, local community. This could be a proposal document, a “live” presentation in the space, a model, a film, a set of posters, etc.

Concept

I chose to develop a concept for an event space for Park Road. I found an appripriate place on Park Road in which it could be held. I chose to call the space Scousehouse. Scousehouse is a space which holds different cultural events for students and young professionals. From Ping Pong Parties to Vintage fairs it's a must-go place for anyone wanting to get out of the mainstream and into the alternative.

Solution

Instead of promoting Scousehouse outright with posters, guerilla advertising such as stickers will be released to build up intrigue and make the identity recognisable. Then will come the main visuals. Each event will have its own promotional campaign that's unique to them.
- Identity -

The ident represents the four walls of the Scousehouse. The walls aren't aligned to represent culture, and how it's always moving, always evolving. This is a dynamic logo which allows flexibility with the different events that will be held- any image can be applied to it/ around it and it still holds the same appearance.
Stickers will be put around the student hangouts in Liverpool to provoke intrigue
Launch night posters
Events at ScouseHouse
- Ping Pong Party -

This is one of the events featured at ScouseHouse. To promote it, painted ping pong pitches will be placed in obscure places in student areas. There will be stickers in the shape of ping pong bats to also promote the event.
- Colour Clash -

This event will be based around the idea of a ‘paint powder party’ in which attendees will throw different coloured paint powder at each other creating a vibrant, fun atmoshphere. attendees will be instructed to wear white tshirts for the night.
