Stargirl is a skincare brand that has a Y2K style which would be nostalgic for those growing up in the 2000s.
I took inspiration from 2000s pop culture, magazines, makeup products and TV/movies to create a stand-out brand that is fun and playful, whilst still maintaining a rather minimal design for packaging.
Minimal packaging for skincare is something I found to be successful through my research for my dissertation (The Importance of Branding in the Skincare Industry).
This is popular as customers want clear skin which can be represented through the use of white space and a feeling of simplicity.
The brand personality is informal, chatty and relatable to make the customer feel comfortable and not find the brand intimidating.
