Feels like home - Plywood

My debut solo exhibition, titled "FOG," explores the experience of not being mentally present. This could manifest as spacing out, feeling panicked, or becoming hyperfocused, all of which can impact how we interact with our surroundings, making it difficult to fully engage with the present moment. As someone who frequently finds themselves in these states, I initially felt ashamed and fought against them. But then I decided to create an exhibition that celebrates these mental states and encourages conversation about them.

Through these wall hangings, I wanted to confront my fears and turn them into something beautiful. By depicting some of my scariest experiences in a visually appealing way, I aimed to transform my negative feelings into something positive and meaningful. The durability and sturdiness of the plywood material allowed me to create lasting pieces that represent my journey towards embracing and accepting my mental states, rather than shying away from them.
