The Process
The initial sketch is in pencil, and further detailing is with a mechanical pencil, and Creta color grey pencil.
The penicilled drawing is scanned at 600 dpi, and I've cleaned it up in Photoshop and used levels for proper blacks and whites.
The coloring process is simple. The pencilled drawing is in a layer set to blending mode 'multiply'. The flat colors and fonts are added.
I've added shades with a soft brush with a very low opacity, in a new layer clip masked to the flat color layer. After this, Ive added some texture, and Voila!
