Friday Supper, CAFOD cook book

Book “Friday Suppers”,
written by Pauline Curran, former recipe tester for Delia Smith!

With joy I accept this work for the project Supper Friday, CAFOD. The project: a cookbook is for providing options for meat abstinence on Fridays.

"I wrote this book for two reasons. The first is the reintroduction of Friday Abstinence in the Catholic  Church. Whilst most people are aware of the many alternatives to meat that are now available, each Friday they continue to fall back on the traditional ‘Fish and Chips’, omelettes or pastas.

Nowadays, we can take advantage of the wide variety of vegetarian and fish recipes around and the large selection of international ingredients that are available in most supermarkets. With this in mind, I have put together a selection of recipes for people who might like to try some new dishes, and some old favourites that may have been forgotten.

The second reason is to raise funds for the charity CAFOD – an organisation who are working for a safe, sustainable and peaceful world. By buying this book you have directly contributed to their work with some of the poorest ..." Pauline
