A centrifugal pump is a type of pump that uses a rotating impeller to generate a flow of fluid by the transfer of energy from the rotating impeller to the fluid. The fluid enters the pump through the center of the impeller, is thrown outwards by the centrifugal force generated by the rotation, and is then collected in the casing to be expelled through the pump’s discharge port.
