Red's Wolf Cafe & Gallery
Red's Wolf Cafe & Gallery was the project I presented for my senior BFA thesis. The idea was to create a theoretical cafe attached to a gallery. It took form as an installation within the school's gallery. The first and largest element of the project included a 15ft x15ft wooden floor. On this platform I created a mock interior of a cafe which featured two tables, two chairs, a countertop and wall display. All the objects were designed and created by myself and with the help of fellow artists. To add to the authenticity of a cafe presence I laid out numerous graphic elements which included brochures, menus, business cards, posters and hand printed bags of coffee. The final feature was to create a digital presentation in the form of a website, as seen below. My main goal for my thesis was to show the traditional, digital and craft based skills I had learned in my fine art educational program.
