WorldSkills HK 25th Anniversary Popup Book
WorldSkills Competition aims at promoting skills excellence, uplifting professional skills standards and
inspiring young talents to excel in skills, showcasing that skills change lives.
Hong Kong first participated in WorldSkills Competition in 1997. In this 25-year journey,
more than200 young talents showcased their skills and exchanged with youngsters around the globe
in WorldSkills Competitions. Their participation in WorldSkills Competition not only benefited their
personal development, but also contributed to the industry development and economic growth.
This book provides an overview of the fruitful journey of WorldSkills Hong Kong, and demonstrates
how skills competitions promoted Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET)
in Hong Kong, and raised the public’s interests in learning skills.
