Shidou Ryusei - Bluelock
This post describes the workflow and all the small things that I used to create this work. Enjoy <3.
Started off with a loose sketch
Decided on the color palette and filled in the base color on a new layer underneath the sketch layer
Added an extra soft skin tone of warmth and coolness.
As all the added rendering was too soft we add in some hard-edged shadows on a multiply layer
Layered a soft screen pin light
The eyes lacked some sparkle.
Added in a random smoke brushed background.
