Onebright Benefits

We would just like to remind you all about our wonderful Onebright benefits so you can make sure you are making the most out of them.

The Cycle2Work Scheme

This scheme allows you to order a new bike, equipment or both up to the value of £1,000.00. Onebright will pay for the order up front and you will agree to hire the bike from Halfords, who are the legal owner of the bike from the start of the hire period. Once you have your bike, you will then pay Onebright back through your salary to make tax savings of 32% - 47%.

When your application is successful, you'll be given a Letter of Collection to use in-store or online at over 1,250 cycling retailers – including Halfords, tredz.co.uk, and hundreds of independent bike shops.

To be eligible for the Cycle2Work Scheme, employees need to have passed their probation period.

You will also have exclusive access to a range of other benefits whilst Cycle to Work payments are deducted from your salary. Examples being:

Lifetime safety checks on all cycles obtained through the scheme

Lifetime guarantee on Halfords brand cycles

10% off cycling essentials in any Halfords store for the duration of your initial hire period (restrictions apply)

Access to all in-store sale and promotional prices at Halfords and Tredz

14 days free cycle insurance

The Holiday Trading Window

The holiday trading window will open in October. This gives eligible employees the opportunity to buy/sell holiday days for 2024.

Here is a reminder of some of the key points from this policy:

To be eligible to apply, your probation review date must be on or before 31st December 2023.

The maximum number of additional annual leave that may be acquired into one holiday years is 5 days (37.5 hours), this includes any carry over from 2023. So, for example, if you are carrying over 2 days, the max you could purchase is 3 days. This is prorated if you work part time. 

All requests should be discussed with the line manager ahead of submitting.

The cost will be paid/deducted in 12 equal instalments, starting January 2024.

The maximum holiday entitlement per year, including any carry over and/or bought holiday is 31 days (full time equivalent).

Pension Scheme
Onebright has set up a Pension Plan with Royal London to help you save for your retirement. Each time you contribute 5% of your salary into your plan, Onebright will also contribute 5%. You'll also receive tax relief from the government and this can help to boost your pension savings. For more information on the pension scheme, please visit the Royal London website.
