I conceptualized a Design Science Lab in NID. This was supposed to be a place which serves as a li- brary of materials and techniques of students. I tried to make individual spaces devoted to education, analysis, experimentation and hands on experience. I made this space a comprehensive collection of the latest information of both digital and tangible from research organizations around the world (reports and studies on energy, climate change, the global economy, food, and many other topics).

 

This was a place where students could collaborate with other people from different disciplines or colleges. I wanted this to be a space where vision, values, critical thinking, and creative imagination could be combined with a global, whole systems perspective and a problem solving and strategic planning methodology that leads to informed and  effective action. The lab was designed such that encourages and sparks the creativity of process and gives students a platform to go beyond conceptualizing. A place for students to work and have fun.
