The Cryptonauts Academy mother ship was in perfect working order when they embarked on a 238,900 mile training mission.
Preflight checks had gone off without a hitch and the launch was uneventful.
Cadets were watching football and filming TikToks when every alarm in the ship went off. All Cadets and personnel were dispatched to the emergency escape shuttles as news of a wormhole was reported over the intercom system.
Around 10,000 Cadets escaped the ship before it was torn to pieces. Their escape shuttles, along with debris, were sucked into the wormhole and transported across time and space.The Cadets found themselves scattered like birthday confetti on alien worlds and uncharted territory. Wormhole radiation mutated their DNA and helped them adapt for the environment that they emerged in.
Calculations on Earth determined that the mother ship disappeared without a single blip, ping or burst of static 140,000 miles into the training mission. The ship, along with everyone on it, was gone as if it never existed.
