Materials: I used acrylic paint, image transfer, and gold leaf to illustrate my glowing love for others.

 

Processes: I placed the gold leaf and paint by my loved ones to demonstrate the love in my heart for them. 

 

How do I see delicate details everyday emulated in my loved ones?

 

When painting an anatomical heart, I used acrylic paint to create a realistic depiction of a heart. This heart reflects the love that fills my heart. I used a blending marker to image transfer pictures of my family and friends. Then, I placed gold leaf around the heart and images to demonstrate the glowing love that my loved ones give me. The gold makes both the heart and images pop out more which shows how prevalent they are in my life.

 

I practiced and experimented using blending markers to transfer ink images on printed paper. At first, black and white images could not work due to the contrast, so I chose colored images. 

The reference image by Etsy artist, OssuariumFloreus, allowed me to accurately paint an anatomical heart. I also referenced Leonardo Da Vinci’s “The Heart and its Blood Vessels” due to the detail on the valves and veins. Towards the end, I decided to revise my art by adding gold leaf surrounding the heart.
