Why Each Vehicle Makes Sense for Dodge:
Durango:
The Durango as a large body on frame SUV would help it compete better with the fullsize SUVs from Ford and Chevrolet. Jeep just released a large SUV, however, even in its Series I trim level, is still unaffordable for most people, at $67,000 roughly. Having a Dodge in this segment could give buyers an option in this portfolio that would be a lot cheaper, potentially within the $30K- 50K range ($70K for any performance editions) that would be able to tow 10,000 pounds, more than the current Durango is able to as a unibody SUV.
Class: Full Size SUV
Potential Price/Trims:
SE: $39,760
SXT: $43,813
RT: $47,866
GT: $51,919
TRX: $60,025
Caravan
The Dodge Grand Caravan was discontinued in 2020, however, could either be sold as a mainstream larger van than the Pacifica, or be sold to fleet sales for affordable shuttles giving some competition to Ford. Using the Jeep Wagoneer as a basis for styling recalls the 1984 model, when the segment was invented by the Dodge and Chrysler brands.
It would drop Grand from its name, once again becoming an affordable Caravan.
Class: Large Van
Potential Price/Trims:
SE: $42,025
SXT: $46,241
RT: $50,457
GT: $58,890
Intrepid
This would be based on the Peugeot 408 crossover, but instead of federalizing the current model, it would be assembled in the US with a similar design, adding Dodge design elements to help it fit into the lineup. While the original Intrepid was a sedan, this would offer a slightly higher ride height, and more cargo space than a traditional sedan, but still appear small and sleek. It would also help add affordable liftbacks to car shoppers' lists.
Class: Midsize Liftback
Potential Price/Trims:
SE: $28,885
SXT: $30,166
RT: $31,447
GT: $32,728
Dynasty
The Dodge Dynasty would be a fullsize liftback based off the Wagoneer, slightly lowered, and formed into a sedan shape. It would be a very compelling way to approach the large sedan segment differently- it would offer a very smooth ride, have the potential to deliver a lot of power and excellent range. It could have a large trunk like the Charger EV concept. If offered with a 3 piece front bench seat, could seat 6 people in something that's not a truck or SUV. The middle front passenger could still get a chest seat belt from the top left of the seat chair, as well as two airbags from above the infotainment system and from below a foldaway console. It's doable, especially in the EV market.
Class: Fullsize Liftback
Potential Price/Trims:
SE: $36,105
SXT: $40,283
RT: $44,461
GT: $48,639
GLH: $52,817
Charger Sedan
A mainstream midsize sedan, lower than the Intrepid. Could push the bar much more and have many more high performance models. Could offer a wide scale of trims from very affordable to super wild. Could continue strong sales with striking design and power.
Class: Midsize Sedan
Potential Price/Trims:
SE: $33,225
SXT: $37,179
RT: $41,133
GT: $45,087
GLH: $49,041
Neon
The Dodge Neon continues to exist in the Latin American market, even though the US doesn't have it anymore. The 4th generation Neon could be styled like the Peugeot 308 hatchback with some Dodge flair, and be an insanely striking electric hatchback that won't break buyers' banks. In a sea of boring SUVs, a new Neon would wow many people.
Class: Compact Hatchback
Potential Price/Trims:
SE: $26,990
SXT: $31,191
RT: $35,392
GT: $39,593
GLH: $43,794
SRT-4: $47,995
Omni
Very small, but very affordable. Same excitement for the Neon, in a much smaller package. More people who can afford means more sales, if done right.
Class: Subcompact Hatchback:
Potential Price: $18,550 to $26,000
Potential Price/Trims:
SE: $18,550
SXT: $20,413
RT: $22,276
GT: $24,139
