Personal Logo + Website + Identity 2014
LOGO

The logo was just initially designed to showcase my initials "D" and "R", it eventually evolved into subtle representations of the symbols I value most. The first one is the number "8", which has been an important numerical figure throughout my life. A butterfly can also be seen in the logo; It represents change and it has been my overall disposition since I have started my career as a designer. Finally, the curvy rendering of the logo has been preferred over the rigidity of straight lines because it can be attributed to waves or water.  Water has always been my element and it represents my personality as an individual: creative, empathic and adaptable.
LOGO - ALTERNATE COLORS

Purple has always been my favorite color. It coincidentally coincides with Pantone's color of 2014 which is Radiant Orchid. The logo's glyph is primarily in the shade of Purple (#8D518E) with the background variation of White (#FFFFFF), Gray (#CDCCCC) and Charcoal Black (#0E0E0F). If the circumstance requires a purple background, the white colored glyph is used. There is also shadow present in each logo color variation, and it will ultimately compliment the designated background of the glyph.

CONTACT/BUSINESS CARD

In the card, I only wanted to highlight two things: The first one is the logo, which represents me in totality, and my contact details. The logo card side has a laminated ‘weave’ finish, while the contact details side is non-laminated. The laminated ‘weave’ finish was chosen because of its criss-cross design which was reminiscent with the current look and feel of the website and identity (intersecting lines and polygons).
CD LABEL + CD CARRIER

Like the rest of the identity, I've kept the design elements for each collateral consistent. The CD Label has a minimal design of a simple spectrum, as it features the logo in the right. The CD Carrier also features the logo and a radial gradient background of the official color.
CREATIVE RESUME

My creative resume reflected the overall design of my website. I used the same set of typography and design elements in creating it. Though I wanted the resume to be a visual treat, I opted to include the important description of my qualifications in the Work + Education section to enumerate the actual accomplishments I've made. The rest of the sections are graphical and composed of short sentences and phrases to reduce the feel of verbosity found in the Work + Education timeline.
WEBSITE

My official website is also my online portfolio. It was built with the help of the Bootstrap framework. The website is responsive and has a parallax design. It contains (5) main sections, the last being redirected to my Tumblr blog. The design is minimal while using the triangle shape as part of its design. Though Bootstrap is the backbone of the site, it is manually coded in Adobe Dreamweaver with the help of HTML, CSS and a bit of PHP. Some of the visual effects of the website can be attributed to CSS selectors and JQuery scripts.

WEBSITE - RESPONSIVENESS

As mentioned earlier, the website is responsive with the help of the Bootstrap framework. Though it made coding much easier, I had to create additional conditional media queries to assure that the website is viewed optimally. Each media query for each screen dimension had a different set of image background for each section of the site. This made the background change depending on the platform used.
