Brief
I was briefed to design a logo for Sparkle & Shine, a new boutique jewelry store specialising in handmade, unique pieces. The challenge was to create a logo that would reflect the company's vision, appeal to its target audience (fashion-conscious individuals aged 18-40 who value artistry, quality, and uniqueness in handmade jewelry, and are willing to pay a premium for it) all while establishing a memorable and recognisable brand identity. In designing the logo, I aimed for elegance with playful touches, such as incorporating a star in the word 'Shine' to represent the sparkle of jewelry. After weighing some options, I selected the 'aimstesa' font as I thought it effectively captured these qualities. The prescribed colour pallete was feminine, yet sophisticated, with gold and rose gold as focal points. The logo will be used on storefront signage, business cards, website, social media accounts, and packaging materials.
