The Grateful Dead Archive Online needed a website that was not only easy to navigate, but also able to house fan memorabilia kept alive by the fan network across the globe.
We worked closely with the GDAO team to plan and design a brand and website, providing high-fidelity visual designs and a web UI style guide for implementation.
We had a blast imagining and designing a custom icon set to represent all things Dead.
Our job was to create a visual brand for the archive – a tough assignment considering the existing imagery already associated with the band. We performed a refresh by riffing on the established icons to create a more modern, living brand.
