For a long time, the website for Jack Hirose & Associates, a leading mental health seminar company, required a significant visual rebrand & overhaul. The existing site had several non-cohesive components, including a proprietary CMS and online ticketing system, mailing list integration, and a separate e-Commerce website. Working with the in-house team, I designed and developed a beautiful custom Wordpress website with flexibility and usability in mind.
The new workshops directory can be filtered by topic, province, speaker, or date. Individual events are showcased on a single easy-to-read page. Cross-promotional sections allow the client to link workshops with DVDs for sale and other related events.
Working with the client’s software developer and in-house team, I suggested usability and design improvements for the event ticketing system. Visually, the online registration system is now seamless with the rest of the website. I have detailed the ticketing system overhaul in a separate case study on my website.
I replaced the old e-Commerce site with WooCommerce for Wordpress. Working with a number of plugins and customizations, I ensured the online store was easy to use and offered features to assist customers in finding the right product.
Additional features of the new website included: an advertising banner system, customized articles with cross-promotional capabilities & facebook commenting, directories for speakers (past and present) as well as workshop venues, and integrated MailChimp email marketing forms.
Since the new website was launched, there has been a 45% increase in new visitors*. Incredibly, there’s been a 400+% increase in search-engine based website traffic, and product store sales have skyrocketed, from several sales per month to several e-Commerce sales per day.
