Letter History Poster

The objective of this project was to familiarize ourselves with the history of our own alphabet by doing research on a specific letter of personal choice and create a design based around this letter. The intention of the designs was to have C stand out. Based on the research conducted, C shares sounds with my letters like S, K, and even Sh. The plan was to make the letter feel like its own letter again. The objective was to create 3 separate 10” x 10” posters in Adobe InDesign, each displaying the information while using a different hierarchy (one for symbol hierarchy, where the symbol/letter was most prominent. Another for headline prominence, and so on). The body copy was written in a way that characterized the letter C, making him out to be very agitated that he’s overshadowed by other letters. Shades of blue like cyan and turquoise were chosen to make each design stand out. MS Reference Sans Serif is a very standar typeface, however, if used correctly in a design, you can make the font stand out, either by changing the font color or point size.
