Branding Project 2009

TOMS Shoes was created for a simple purpose. For every pair of shoes you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of shoes to a child in need. One for One. I wanted to create a new brand identity for TOMS, so I first designed a new logo. For their business card I wanted to make it fun and styled. I also felt that they needed a letterhead and envelope that was more unique like the company.  The last element of the project I designed was a new shoebox for TOMS to distribute the shoes in.
When designing the logo, I wanted to create a symbol that embodies what TOMS represents.  The idea is that a child who is barefoot receives a pair of shoes and no longer has to walk around barefoot.

Shoebox packaging design: I incorporated the "one for one" and "shoes for tomorrow" tag lines on the outside, as well as making it a fun visual to see the TOMS Shoes name appear when you open the box.  The message of TOMS Shoes purpose is then printed on the inside lid so that every person who buys a pair will know how much they have helped a child.
