DESIGN THINKING : MENTAL MODEL
Situation : Ordering a cup of coffee at a local coffee shop
Here is a detailed description of the situation I would face as a customer starting from reaching the coffee place to paying the coffee bill.
1. I drive to the local coffee shop while listening to a podcast/music.
2. I reach the coffee place and look for the parking lot.
3. If there is space to park the vehicle, I look for a safe spot to do the same else I try to wait listening to the music in car or try to find an alternate parking lot or find a different coffee shop altogether depending on time and situation.
4. I get inside the coffee place if the above situation works in my favor and look for a chair/table to sit depending on how many people are with me.

5. I wait for the attendant to take my order.
6. I usually take a gander at the menu to see if I want anything else than the usual filter coffee .
7. I place the order and wait to receive it.
8. About another 5 minutes go by until I get my coffee and enjoy the drink.
9. The attendant then gives the bill and recipe for the payment.

10. I either pay money in cash or card depending on how much I have in my purse along with a small tip as a thank you gesture.
11. I leave the place.
