Logowork : My Indian Things

I did the logo-work for My Indian Things back in 2021 and recently revisited these versions of it which did not make the cut.
As their art director, there were a couple of things that I was very sure about regarding how I wanted the logo to turn out. The structural strength was an important aspect of the logo-mark, since the logo had to compete with countless colors and patterns in the company products. Same went for the word-mark. It had to be easy to draw, which I believe makes anything easy to recall - if anybody can make it, then nobody can forget it. And above all, it had to speak Indian which is where I think the onion-like dome shape made it to the fit - it's everywhere in Indian Architecture! Exactly where a wall-coverings company would intend to place it self and so here we are.
It's interesting to see that after 2 years, how easy it seems to cross these ones out now that the official logo has been used extensively all over in their communications. So here's our best boy, in the dress I like the best!
