Seaweed sap was found to be a potential biostimulant that regulates the hormone levels in plants, which further, regulate the defence-related genes, helping the plant to resist biotic stress.Applications of Kappaphycus seaweed extract (KSWE) helped the soil bacteria recover from the negative impact of drought by rejuvenating the affected soil microbial population, especially the species that are responsible for soil nutrient conversion and cycling.
