"Hay recuerdos que llegan volando" is my first children book as an author :)
It is a book about farewells, absence and nostalgia. About how all this turns into memories that are always flying around us. Good memories, others not so good. And in the end, we are the ones who decide if we want to fly with them.
This book won the District Award for Illustrated Children's Book 2021 of the District Institute of the Arts (IDARTES) and was published in December 2022 by Fondo de Cultura Económica

Hay recuerdos que llegan volando es mi primer libro álbum como autor integral :)
Este es un libro que habla sobre las despedidas, la ausencia y la nostalgia. Sobre como todo esto se transforma en recuerdos que siempre vuelan a nuestro alrededor. Recuerdos buenos, otros no tanto. Y que al final, somos nosotros quienes decidimos si queremos volar junto a ellos.
Este libro ganó el Premio Distrital de Libro Infantil Ilustrado 2021 del Instituto Distrital de las Artes (IDARTES), y fue publicado en diciembre de 2022 por el Fondo de Cultura Económica.

La ilustraciones finales las hice con técnicas mixtas. Utilicé gouache, lápices de color, lápiz de grafito y recortes de papel. Aquí les muestro el proceso de algunas de ellas.

I made the final illustrations with mixed media. I used gouache, colored pencils, graphite pencil and paper cutouts. Here I show you the process of some of them.
