SHENI UZO - a unique festival in Goa
Malcornem, Goa
During first full moon night before Holi a unique festival is celebrated in the remote part of Malcornem in Quepem taluka, This 400 years old ritual is performed with dried cow dung cakes (Sheni) and leaves that hit against each other causing sparks (Uzo) and villagers dance to the traditional music.
